Despite being in the middle of the Winter scene, there's never a bad time to check out the culture around you in Massachusetts. If you're seeking somewhere to take in plenty of the surrounding culture but without the big city feel, it just so happens that one of those spots that do all that is much closer than you might think in Massachusetts. Not only is known as a great cultural spot in the state, or even throughout New England, but it's one of the best small town cultural scenes in the country.

Perhaps the dead of Winter in Massachusetts is not desired conditions to be going out for a cold treat. Then again, let's face it, there's never a bad time to indulge on some ice cream. No matter if you're out east in Boston, or on the western side of Massachusetts in the Berkshires, there are some amazing ice cream shops to hit up! There's even one ice cream shop in the Bay State that was just crowned as the top ice cream destination in Massachusetts.

There is no city in Massachusetts, or anywhere else in the country for that matter, that ever wants to be known as the dirtiest city throughout its entire state. If you are someone who happens to take pride in the spot you live in, this can especially hit relatively hard. Unfortunately, there is a particular spot in Massachusetts that happens to fall under that particular label.
